What happens if u dont condition your hair and only shampoo it for a couple months? Is there any longstanding damage that can result? Or is the damage curable by just cutting it all off? Help me out please, thank you...

Safest of all is to use Conditioner, for I think you may very well find that yes: "the damage is easily cured," and will be done so by yourself as you "rip-out" your own hair without the benefits of the conditioner. You won't even have to worry about cutting it off! It will be "ripped-out!" Conditioner is a life-saver with tangles, snarles etc. which are much tougher without the use of. I have never yet seen a post telling us of damage by a Conditioner.

If your hair doesn't tangle you don't need conditioner. Men had long hair for 5,000,000 years before conditioners. They used a little animal fat, olive oil or whatever.
Try not using shampoo every day but rinsing the water soluable dirt out of your hair. Some men effectively use a little conditioner instead of shampoo, and shampoo only once a week to get out the oils that are not water soluable.
If you don't need conditioner, don't use it. It is more likely that you do not need shampoo so often.
Try various possibilities, and realize that the weather has an effect too. It it is humid.... If you are in dry hot sun...
Personally, the only liability I have with long hair is that I can not leave home wet. My hair is fine and a little breaze will result in beautiful blond cotton candy. If I can use a little vo-5, or a little minteral oil, or a little jell, or some combo, and comb my hair into place then it is full and moves.
I usually use about 5 brush rollers on the very top front of my hair the last hour or so as my hair dries just to give it a little lift, not to curl it so much as to straighten it and lift it.
I often shampoo in the evening and get my hair in place, and then just a little touch up in the morning for several days since I do not always have the lux to wash and let it dry in the morning before making my public appearances.
