mid-long 2 long questions!

I might be out of subject a little but i haven t found a mid long men hair site :)I m looking to get mid long hair like 4-5 inches. My last haircut was 1-1 1/2 inch on top and half an inch on the side and that was close to 3 months ago. Now i d say 2 1/2- 3 inch on top and 1 1/2 - 2 inch on the side. I have 2 questions regarding my mid long hair quest. First, and this all hair grower will be able to help me on this one, does ur hair pattern i mean ur hairline, the way ur hair are naturally "combed" (scuse my english, i m french), changes in the growing process. Cause i know that younger when i had long hair i seem to remember my hair were divided in the center of my head, falling on left and right side starting from center. But when my hair are shorter i can t comb that way, i have to deal with my natural hairline that start from a point, rear top right of my head.

So the question is at what lenght can you redesign the way u comb ur hair (the direction)?

The second question is regarding the fact that i have notice that everytime i tried to grow my hair (this is not my first attempt lately i have tried at each haircut and failed becuz of a phenomena i call "Microphone head") i get the "microphone head". This site refer to this phenomena as bad phase where u like a 70's kid. I have developped a theory on that and i would like to know if anyone coyuld confirm that theory. Most of us who get short haircut get longer hair on top and shorter hair on side and it seems that this is the cause of the microphone head phenomena. The hair that are on top being longer then the one on the side just sit on the shorter "side of the head" one who are not heavy enough (cuz not long enough) to be very vertical. So those shorter "side of the head" hair are still fuzzy and fighting gravity and standing mid-air and no matter how hard u try to stick them down, one swiff of wind will bring em up with all the longer hair resting on them creating the puffy microphone head. So i have come to the conclusion that the best way to grow hair is to get them at an even length all around the head. The question is does this theory makes sense to you?? I am about to experiment this technique.

Ok Tnx for helping
