Anyone with BAD experience with Aussie?

I can see that everybody here loves Aussie. Well, I remembered one guy saying that he burnt his hair with Aussie! Is that true?

I'm about 1/2 way thru my first bottle of Aussie shampoo. I've never been real big on hair care products and have always just used baby shampoo. I tried the Pantene and wasn't overly impressed and am now onto the Aussie. I have very thick, dry and wavy, just past shoulder length hair that looks 1/2 that length when it's dry. The Aussie DID add a little moisture to my hair and definately made it easier to drag a comb thru, but it made the waves even MORE pronounced, which in turn made it look even shorter. I also tried conditioner which made the wavy/shorter effect even worse. I think I'll be going back to the baby shampoo when the Aussie runs out.
Counterfeit products are a problem...

Some people will get better results than others with any given hair care products but in my opinion the the most likely reason that a product would outright damage someone's hair is because the product is counterfeit. I was recently surprised to learn that counterfeit shampoos and other hair-cair products are not limited to expensive salon items. For example, Health Canada recently issued a warning about fake bottles of "Bed Head" shampoo that contained harmfull chemicals. It is certainly possible that some factory is cranking out fake bottles of the popular Aussie products.
It is possible (though highly unlikely) that something went wrong in the manufacturing process and the product in the bottle is abnormal. I encourage anyone who has an outright bad result (hair falls out, turns color, etc) to report this to the manufacturer (they ALL have consumer hotlines and websites). You may save hundreds of other people from the same unplesant experience.

That guy also never followed up with an explanation about how it could or did or what specific Aussie products actually did what.
I suspect it wasn't true or was just some way to justify previous damage or his decision to ditch his hair.
I didn't recognize the screen name either. Stick with advice from well known members of this board or ones that can back up what they say. I have a site where you can get my recommendations and see pics of my hair.
Aussie isn't for everyone as there are many different hair types and this board seems to attract lots of people with difficult hair looking for any kind of helpful advice, but for most "normal" hair Aussie works like a wonder (or like you think conditioner should).
