At what length can you get your hair into a pony tail?
My bangs are about 8 inches and the back can is a little
longer than the laength of my hand. At what length will I be able
to get it in a decent ponytail?

I was actually wondering that myself. I think the basic rule is One Year you can tie back all but barely the bangs and 18 months you can Tie it all back and look pretty decent. That's what I've heard though, and it may vary.

You won't be far away from being able to make a tail of sorts, and if your hair grows at about the average speed of half an inch a month, you should be able to get the bangs into the tail (even if only just) in another three or four months.
You can try to fold any of the hair that won't go into the tail under other sections of your hair that will go in - that way, it will look as though all your hair is in the tail even though it isn't.
Be careful not to pull too hard to get your hair into the band, or you will end up damaging it. Only use proper pony bands - the thicker they re, the better, and they should not be too stiff or too tight, or again you will be breaking a ot of hairs or even worse, pulling them out.
Good luck.
