Just like Belgium...

I've been away for a while in Belgium and missed the board - good to catch up on the posts.
One thing I noticed in Brussels (apart from the incredible Baroque buildings and the surprising lack of attractive women) was that I didn't see any men with long hair. Not one. Strange for a capital city I thought.
Anyone on the board from Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg who can disprove my observation ??

I wouldn't confuse Brussels with Belgium, although there are not many long haired men around generally. Brussels, certainly the center of it, is a political city with EU representatives and loads of political stuff. Not many longhaired politicians around that's true.
You can find a lot more long haired men in the student towns (Leuven, Ghent) or in specific business areas like advertising, art or culture. As for the women I think you haven't been in the right places to see them... as always never mix up Brussels with Belgium. It's like saying all people in California are actors because you meet a lot of them in Los Angeles.

That's an interesting comment. I've been living in Boston (not exactly a capital city, per se, but still a major metropolitan) since January, and I really am surprised on a consistently frequent basis how many longhairs i see in blue and white collar jobs. Thumbs up, Boston!

For the record Boston is a capital city. It is the capital of
Masschusetts, if you go to Beacon Hill, under the golden dome is
the state house (next to Boston Common).
Boston has many long hairs now, not as many as in past years.
The best places to find thenm? Harvard Square, The Fleet Center,
Great Woods, or the many other rock music venues.

O I forgot to introduce myself.
I started reading the board quite some time ago when I still had long hair. Since then I graduated from college and because the hair on the top of my head was thinning anyway I dedided to go for the really shorthair look. (nature's just not been kind enough to me to get a full head of hair ever again). But still interested and folowing your stories.
Nice to meet you all :-)
