hair to get thinner as it gets longer? I've noticed over the past several months that my hair seems a bit thinner than it was when I first started growing it.It even seems thinner that it did just a year ago. I don't have any bald spots and am not receding, so I don't think I'm going bald or anything. And I don't really lose that much hair, except when I wash it, and then it's only about 20-30 hairs. And it's not that many everytime I wash it. And I only lose just a few when I brush. Anyone else noticed this?

I am guessing you have straight hair which as it grows longer lays down more and seems flat...I have curly/wavy hair and it took a couple of years before it would lay down from the length and weight. How long is your hair and how long have you been growing it?

My hair is actually pretty wavy at times. I've been growing it for 2 years from a buzz cut. Click on the link to see some pics. It looks pretty wavy in these pics, but it's usually not as wavy as it looks in the pics.

I noticed the very same thing, but it's not that your hair getting thinner...
it's just that it is lying more flatly against your head.
Think of a pile of branches: if you have lots of short sticks piled on
top of one another, your pile will look quite dense & thick...
Now, if you have a heap of the same number of LONGer sticks lying
sideide by side, they will appear to make a neater, thinner pile.
Same, basically, applies to the hair.
Plus, a person growing for a year & a half has lost a total
of 54,000 hairs! (540 days x 100 hairs per day)
So, naturally, you head of hair has been COMPLETELY rearranged!
Hope that helps and...
Good Luck!
