LONG Hair & (Kirlian) ENERGY?

Semyon Kirlian, gave his name to the phenomenon called Kirlian Photography.
One day in 1939 Semyon was engaged in some repair work on a high-
voltage machine when he noticed a spark jump between the machine and his hand.
His unfailing curiosity led him to wonder what would
happen if a sheet of photo-sensitive material were placed in the
path of this spark. In a further refinement he was able to monitor
this luminescence on a continuous basis.
The result, as Semyon described it, was "the most fantastic scene" they had ever witnessed...
The hand was transformed into a display of lights, flares, sparks and twinkling effects...
in a constant movement of glorious color. Some lights appeared to
be moving, while others pulsated;
parts of the hand showed cloudy patches, but the whole appeared as a firework display with the physical hand seen dimly in the
background.
COULD IT THEN BE A POSSIBILITY that LONG HAIR could HOLD ON to this
luminescence energy since it takes LONGer to travel from
the roots to the ends of the longer hair shafts?
And what effect would this have (if any)on the overall energy (physical or spiritual)
on the individual?
Just curious.
Any thoughts on this out there?

In a word, No. Kirlian photography measures the electrical field of an object that has some effect on the photographic emultion. The key here is that it is an electrical field. Hair is essentially electrically inert, so it has no effect on electrical fields.
If you have one of those orbs that has a sort of glowing plasma inside that is attracted to your hand, you have something that is essentially a dynamic Kirlian photography system. Instead of measuring the field by a photographic emultion, though, the field is measured using a gas that turns into a plasma under the right conditions.
Touch it with your hand, and you can see the electric field of your hand. Touch it with your hair, and nothing happens.
maybe I got it mixed up...

with some kind of spiritual AURA! Someone mentioned Samson's strength...
and I was thinking there that since he is in the Bible, it's
length must have a spiritual comnnection of some kind.
Thanks for sorting it out, though: One is electrical and the
other is AURAL, as in "I can see your aura"
Maybe my question should be: Does hair length affect your AURA!
What is an aura?

Certainly many people have speculated that what Kirlian photography captures may be the aura that so many people talk about. The question is, what is that aura? I don't know of any rigorous or scientific definition of an aura. It's always defined in such a way as to be unproveable.
Quite a few supposed psychics have told me that I have a prominent aura and that I should be able to easily develop my psychic abilities. That may be so, but I don't have anything less vague than that other than a couple of strange occurrences that could be chalked up to coincidence.
The most recent one doesn't really have anything to do with auras but does relate to psychic energy.
I used to regularly hang out at a local jazz club called the Elephant Room. One night, rather than staying until they closed, which was my usual custom, I for some reason decided to leave early. I climbed the stairs out to the sidewalk (the club is located in the basement), and headed north on Congress Avenue. I'd decided to go home, and that was the way to my car. To continue to my car, I'd have to turn right at the first intersection. Right as I got to the intersection, I had a very strong feeling that I needed to go to Ruta Maya to meet my friend Kytte.
I hadn't talked to Kytte for some months, and I had no idea where she was or where she typically hung out. I hesitated and pondered the feeling. I was ready to blow it off as just some random thought of mine, and then it hit me even stronger. I can't emphasize enough how strong the urge was to go there. And the urge wasn't just to go to Ruta Maya. It was to go there to meet with Kytte.
Ruta Maya is about two blocks from the Elephant Room, but to get there, I had to turn left instead of right at the intersection.
I figured what I was doing was irrational and would probably be fruitless, but I didn't have anything else planned, so I decided to follow my urge.
I walked to Ruta Maya. It is a very small coffee shop that has live music or poetry readings. The aroma of Guatemalan coffee and textiles fills the air (Kytte and I both grew up in Guatamala, incidentally). I did a quick search of the place for Kytte, but I didn't see her. I would have left, but the urge to meet her there was so strong that I reasoned to myself that she was simply late. I ordered a scone, and hung around for about 15 minutes waiting for her to show up.
After the 15 minutes passed, I decided that maybe the homing beacon that I was picking up was slightly off and that Kytte was next door at the Lavaca St. bar. I went around the corner, and searched the front room, and then the pool room. I didn't see her either place. So I decided to go back to Ruta Maya and wait some more.
When I got back to Ruta Maya, there she was! I have to say that I was surprised and also not surprised at the same time. I was surprised because I really didn't believe in this sort of thing. I was not surprised because I'd obviously committed to the notion that this would happen, so there was some level of anticipation that was realized.
When we met, the first words out of my mouth were, "Where have you been?" She asked me what I was talking about, and I explained that I'd been waiting for her at Ruta Maya. She said that she had been at Ruta Maya but then went the the Lavaca Street bar for a few minutes and then returned to Ruta Maya. That's when I showed up.
We ended up having a long conversation over coffee. Over what, I can't remember.
what's reality?

I, like most other people, am naturally skeptical of the whole notion of auras. It wasn't until I recently learned how to overcome my short-sightedness without using any sort of optical "crutch" (i.e. glasses) that I ever saw it as a real possibility.
It was after reading some books on "The Bates Method" that I realised how clear-sight was directly related to my mind. As I allowed my eyes to relax more, I immediately noticed that I was able to draw distant objects into extremely sharp focus. I'm observing more and more how my state of mind affects my vision. I've ditched my glasses, and don't intend to ever go back to the "quick fix".
This reason for this tangent is that it struck me how, for about 10 years, I accepted my short-sightedness (or myopia) as completely normal... nothing I could do anything about. There've been a couple of people in my life who claim to see auras - they told me they thought it was completely normal before they realised no one else could see them...
Who's to say what's real?
From what I've read, auras are more prominent when you're free from emotional/psychic blockages. I don't think hair has anything to do with it - but having hair in this day and age may be a good indication of someone who's relaxed and comfortable with who they are.
