Milestones & New pics

Hi all,
I know I don’t post very often. There are good posts I see that I would like to comment on but I barely have the time to read them all.
June 15th was the first anniversary of my decision to let my hair grow (what’s left on my sides that is). I probably had my last haircut in late May 2002., I’m the one who started wearing a hairpiece at the end of November, remember?
I know a few of you didn’t appreciate the pics with the hairpiece, as this is not intended as place to show off “wigs”. . I accept and understand that. But it is a site dedicated to those growing their hair long, and that's exactly what I’ve been doing. However, I hope the hardliners will forgive me posting my first anniversary pics which show both my hair only, and the effect with the hairpiece. I, and many others, truly believe that I look much better & younger with the hairpiece than without it. Over the past year, I have given advice to quite a number of guys who had all but given up on long hair because of MPB. It doesn’t have to be that way. Again as opposed to a wig a hairpiece is meant to blend with one’s real hair to give the impression of a full head of hair. Quality hairpieces are so natural looking, especially in the front, you really can’t tell it’s not your real hair.
BTW, my real hair is now 7.5 inches.
Things I can now do with my hair (without HP):
Bring all the hair (including the front near the temples) in a ponytail.
Do pig tails
Put my hair in my mouth.
The hair from both sides touches under my chin.
I will soon be getting a longer HP. I’ll keep you posted…Peace to all.
Absolutely awesome, my friend...

Indeed. I figure that in 12 months, it'll be down to my nipples.
Peace to you, man!

Hey Marc,
Congratulations on your Anniversary and Thanks for sharing on a somewhat sensitive topic.....if we look around us, many "older gentlemen" are going to long hair......Gray, White and Pepper Tails look really sharp and distinguished and the long hair/tail look is being accepting in all walks of work and social situations for our age group.
Obviously, many of us over 40, 50, 60, 70....have varying stages of thining.....some look fine that way, hats really become meaningful, (I wear an Aussie Western Hat socially and a ball cap working) and hairpieces are a viable option.
This discussion site should certainly be a forum to exchange experience with this topic. I hope this opens a new thread (no pun meant) along these lines.
Again Thanks for Sharing
White Tail

Glad to share my experience. Living in a big city (Montreal) I see quite a few older longhairs on my subway ride to work (but not enough to my liking; good thing there are plenty of gorgeous long haired girls to look at. There are 3 guys sporting gray ponytails just on my floor (17 story building).
Peace.
