Hair Measuement (16 Months)

I took some time to measure a few of my hairs that came loose today, and thought I'd report the results. Of the few hairs that I measured, their average length was 21.5 centimeters, which equals 8.5 inches by my approximation.
Just thought I'd give all those with less than a year's worth of growth an idea of the length you might expect after 16 months of uninterrupted growth (Mind you, my hair is somewhat wavy, so I seldom appear to have the full length of my hair intact).

is that little growth average for most people? Does it grow slower the longer it gets? Right now my hair is growing a little over an inch a month for 5 months. Will it slow down soon?
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, man, your one of the rare lucky ones that we all envy! A little over an inch a month is pure rockin' an rollin', dude! Average growth for the human head of hair is a 1/2 inch a month. Your getting in one month what takes most of us two months to grow. Take good care of your hair and stay healthy and it should hopefully keep up for you. We salute you, bro!! Peace!

Maybe my math is a bit rusty, but 16 months of growth with only 8.5 inch hair length equates out to about 1/2 inch a month and that is if he started out with a 1/2 inch of hair or less. If his hair was growing a little over an inch a month, his hair length would be 16 inches or more.
true...

Your hair grows really fast. Most people are somewhere around a half an inch per month. How long your hair is makes no difference, it grows at the same rate. It does SEEM to slow down as it gets longer though. That's because when you start with a half an inch, a month will DOUBLE your hair length. But when you start with 10 inches, a month only makes your hair 5% longer. Add to that the fact that it already looked long, so the 5% difference may be almost unnoticeable.
Very well put! (n/t)
