Just an observation, but...
Recently, I've noticed that many of the posters to this "long-hair" board are actually using their growth of long hair as a way of belonging to a group. Perhaps they were never able to integrate themselves into a group in high school, or in a certain social circle.
I won't name any names, or nicknames, but it's quite obvious that a majority of posters here are seeking approval or some sort of attention by the nature of their posts. I'm sure others will agree with me on this point.
Frankly, like one woman mentioned on the board in the thread about facial structure and long hair, long hair is definitely not for everyone, much like short hair is not for everyone. This should serve as a wake-up call to those who may be perceived as a 'girl' for wearing long hair when their small facial structure cannot 'carry' that weight.
I've seen MANY threads throughout the many months that I've visited this webboard, and there are a lot of people who question whether they should continue growing their hair long, when in the back of their mind they know that long hair is not really something for them.
Some people who've been brave enough to show their progress pictures actually look a lot better with medium length hair than with terminal length hair; they should lose their tunnel vision.
What I think a majority of the posters and readers here should consider, is, WHY are you trying to grow your hair long?
Seriously consider this question.
Growing hair, just to be a part of a "long-hair group", for a sense of belonging, is simply non-sense.
I posted this comment under this thread, because the main topic begs the following question:
If you have long hair, and if you believe that it's attractive, why on Earth are you spending your Saturday nights playing computer games?
Insiders... what the hell?

Not very seldom we have aggresive, or at least discouraging posts like this one. When people are under the stress that the awckward stage brings on, the least they need is this kind of things. Seriously. No matter what parts you are right about, and which ones you're wrong... that's not the way to do it. Your likings and your opinions, are not universal, and what you consider bad looking, others can consider good looking.
Some people MIGHT look better with hair different from what they grew, but its their hair, and their choice. No matter how they fix their hair, there will always be someone who doesn't like it. Then, by making their choice, at least they can be happy. Get off people's neck and try to be more positive. Your opinions about long hair are opposed to most of us here, and I don't think a lot of guys like to be questioned so rudely.
BTW... do you know how old is the guy of the computer games? What id he is young, and then computer games are very suitable for his saturday nights?

I'm 16. I have social problems, but I'm not growing my hair to be part of a group, I've never had long hair and want it. Simple as that. I was just curious mainly, if anyone here played any of these games, regaurdless of hair length. I know short haired friends that play most of these games...I asked them as well. I am in an ackward state of my hair, but your comment seems of confusion (or assumption) to me, so I'm not going to rant on any further.

No matter what you think I meant, this was not against you. You're doing nothing wrong, I'm on your side, and I too play multiplayer a lot. I was trying to make genetic see what kind of comments he makes. No matter your age, we're in no obligation to go out on a saturday night. I don't go out wvery saturday, and to tell the truth, the most simple things in life can be the most pleasent

Just a quick little something I noticed..
"If you have long hair, and if you believe that it's attractive, why on Earth are you spending your Saturday nights playing computer games?"
Quote from genetic_disater:
How long to you spend in front of a mirror?
"I spend 2 hours every morning...1 the rest of the day."
Since you seem to be rude, even if your making observations, I'll ask, why do you question my time spending activities when you spend 3 hours in a damn mirror? I look in the mirror for less than 2 minutes a day. So why are you judging how I spent my free time?
I don't dislike you, I'm just making an observation.
Yet another comment from me...

I spend most of my time doing things on the computer. I've loved computers since I had my old 386. And quite honestly, I don't like the way half of the jerks out riding the town on a saturday night, just to stand out in front of the bowling alley just to talk, look. I'm not anti-social or anything similar. I'm pretty regular, but I happen to find a good source of entertainment, my computer. I don't like to go out clubbing or what ever else you find your source of entertainment to be, we're all different. Just try to realize this before you go hurting someones feelings (mine aren't hurt, I just ramble a lot).
