I've got an idea!

Whoa, I just had a revelation... Ok, just a bit lower down this site someone was complaining of having frizz, and I had an idea. See, I have bad frizz, too, but I'll speak of yesterday's discovery.
Ok, yesterday before work, I soaked my hair in water, slicked it all back with my hands, tucked it all completely behind my ears, and put on my bandanna. My hair dried naturally under the bandannna, and much later in the afternoon I took of the bandanna. My hair was very smooth, still kind of wavy (in a good way), and hardly had any frizz!
Anyway, my idea is this. Would there be a way to do this at night before I went to bed? See, I toss and turn quite a bit during the night, and I'm afraid I'd knock off my bandanna before the next morning... but maybe I wouldn't.
I'm going to try this tonight and see if it works. Just thought I'd let everyone know my discovery.
Also, I wore the bandanna "up and over" my head rather than around my head like a "sweatband". If anyone wants to try this that has frizzy hair, let me know how it worked (or didn't work) for you!

Before I got a buzz cut about half a year ago, I wore a beanie (some people call them toboggins) and my hair usually straightened after a few hours of wearing it...use the loose kind.
Toboggin!!!!

Finally, someone else who calls a stocking cap a toboggin. I am from North Carolina and everyone down there calls it that, but when I moved to Illinois and used the term, no one had ever heard of it called a toboggin. They consider a toboggin to be a sled, which actually it is.

Not asleep...its a good idea, I might try that sometime. I would usually wear a ball cap for a few hours and then take it off, it would be smooth and straight (except for the lower back part).
For all those people with the knit caps, they're called TOOQUES!!!!

I often wear a woolen hat (all through winter and in cold summer days) outside. Its my favourite type of restraint and if my hair is damp first or I sweat a little my hair is awsome when I take it off! Shame it cant be winter all year round :(
It SHOULD work...

It's called "setting" your hair. And the effects should last
for several hours, at least...
depending on your activities.
Braiding damp hair before going to bed produces great looking waves...
so I see no reason why this 'straightening' method shouldn't work.
Maybe add a bit of gel in the morning to keep it that way all day?

Yeah, Santiago's idea works on my hair as well. When I put it in a ponytail and the Wet gel dries and I take my hair out of the ponytail it is straight, except for the back bottom of my hair--it forms a flip-up.
Also...

If you can get most of your hair into a small ponytail, as I did after 12 months, there's no better way to "settle" hair than using a bit of gel, tying it back before it dries completely, and then you just let the tie go, and comb out the gel. It gives a good look and hair doesn't poof out... unless there's any water, ANY, in the air, in raindrops or in any other form.
another way for great hair

That's a coincidence because i wear my bandana on my boat so that the sun gets on my entire face and when i take my bandana of it looks smooth on the top and frizzy like brandon boyds hair on the sides i suppose it could work if you were sleeping too!
thanx for the new idea
