I found this little photo with article here - http://www.pantene.com/haircare/hair_twh_22.htm and was wondering what you guys thought of it. That seems like quite a bit a difference for the same amount of time. Poor guy, that's a terrible terminal length if this is true.
Differences in hair length depend on the length of anagen, which is genetically determined. These two people started off with hair of the same length and went without a haircut for 18 months: the man's hair grows only to his collar before it falls out naturally, but the woman's anagen period is clearly much longer

That... and how many times you are genetically programmed to go for a haircut in the 18 months! I'd say the man in this picture had a few more haircuts than the woman.

Wow. That's phrased almost as if the writer means universal "man." But more emphasis on my suprise is the woman's growth. Even from the man's photo length, 18 months is a relatively short time for the woman to grow that. Her hair must grow very fast. If I could have that at 18 months, I'd be making the countdown right now.
