nylon type cap for securing hair?

I am looking for some type of cap to contain my hair when exercising. I was thinking of those nylon (I think that's what they are made of) caps that actors us over their hair before putting on a wig. Any pointers to something like this? Web searches for "nylon" and "cap" aren't producing anything useful.
When exercising I put my hair in a pony tail. Unfortunately with a lot of movement, I am causing a lot of damage and breakage to my hair at the point where the hair is tied. If I could stuff it under such a cap, that would contain it and much less damage would occur as the hair would not be secured at only one point.
In the past I posted about this problem and someone suggest a bathing cap. The problem with that is they don't breath and I already sweat too much. (Looks aren't important because I exercise at home)
You need a "wig cap".

You are looking for a "wig cap". They sell them for a couple of dollars at wig stores. You *might* find them at Wal-Mart. (Some wig store trivia: all wig stores are supposed to require that customers wear a wig cap before they try on wigs. Some wig stores insist that you buy one of THEIR wig caps before trying on wigs - no bringing your own wig cap).
BTW, I wear a cotton bandana (AKA 'headscarf') when I exercise. I get them from the "dollar store". Definitely don't want to get the hair caught under a bar or in some equipment!

When I had short hair, and wanted to control the poofyness, I used a pair of pantyhose to keep my hair in place... it works...
However, a bandana is more masculine, if it really matters...
but it tends to fall off sometimes if you wear it to bed.

You need a "doo rag". If you search for that on the internet or on eBay you will find many options. I use a doo rag under my bike helmet when commuting to work to keep it in place. You can also get a "hair glove", which is a sleeve fastened together by either velcro or snaps. They are available in different lengths, depending on your hair length.

Definetly a bandana
