A LOT has happened since I last posted. Dad and Kelly had fraternal twins Jason and Lisa in May and that's been too incredible an experience to even begin to describe and but Angie and I have decided to wait a bit before we start a family of our own.
Cutting to the chase, though, a few days ago I had my 19th birthday and after doing a bit of tae kwon doh sparring (while keeping an eye the babies while Kelly and Angie went to a spa), Dad presented me a wrapped box. I opened the box- and it was a silver hair tie complete with the family crest that Dad had forged for me. He said he did this because not only has my hair grown these past eight months ( I now have 5 1/2 inches total) but so have I- and he's confident that I'll always be there for the family (and especially the twins)! He says this symbolizes my vitality to the family, my growth as well as my hair's growth! Isn't that something? I think we've ALL grown quite a bit ever since I bet him about his hair almost three years ago. BTW, Dad's hair is still 2 inches thick (twice as thick as mine) and now is 25 inches long with no grey hairs and no signs of the growth slowing down. Now, instead of envious, I'm PROUD of his hair's growth because it shows the world how cool he's become- and I take pride in that my bet started! BTW, I've changed all our names to keep our privacy but I thought some might like to know what's happened since!

Is this the bet where your Dad sat down in the barber chair, handed the barber some money, then got up and said he wouldn't cut his hair again because he was enjoying growing it? Something like that anyway, I remember. Way too cool, man. These kind of stories are the highlight of this board. Peace!

Yep, that's the bet alright that we all won in the long run! I only wish I had a picture of my and everyone else's expressions in the barbershop when that happened!LOL
Thanks for yours, Nyghtfall's and everyone else's kudos. Before I sign off permanently, I just want everyone to know I've found that sometimes when things look their suckiest- that's when things will start to get even better than what you wished! Peace and Victory!
