I FOUND IT

I found it - the reason for the "wings" on the side of your head. Ya know when sometimes, after your hair dries, it flips out away from your head around where your temples are? I figured out how to prevent that without a curling iron. Ok let me first explain how I style my hair. First I spray it with water until it's damp, part it, then apply mousse, gel, whatever I'm using for the day and then kind of tease it until it's "loose" and not gelled flat onto my head. I let it dry like this and then tease it again, this releases the hair from its gel-bond but leaves it tame and in place, so it looks like there's no gel. After it dried, until today, the sides would flip out and I couldn't get them to stay against my head until I washed my hair again. Now, here's the secret (I don't know if this will work for all or just me but here goes): right after applying gel and "teasing," don't bend the ends of your bangs back towards your ears, let them hang straight on the sides or in front. (I know its really confusing, but I'll post pics later tonight under this thread). Then when it dries it won't "wing-out" anymore. I'll post those pics to show you what I mean by bending the hair backwards, maybe then it won't be so confusing, but I haven't got the time right now.

Good luck all
