Ponytails are good in hot weather.

Trying my best to keep it out of my eyes, making sure it's not over-conditioned and staying out of the sun... hooray for reclusive me!

I echo all of your statements, 'cept that I'm a little more concerned about damaging my hair from excessive shampoo use than I am about over-conditioning. The sun (especially in the summer) can be a real pain in the... to deal with.

...I was hurting today (about 105). I've been wearing my wife's butterfly clips! What the hell, I'm around the house, right? Anyway, it felt much better! I'd wear a tail, but my hair's not long enough yet! :)

I 'tail nearly all of it (still just a 'hair' short of getting all
of the folicles -comfortably- in a ponytail) and top it off with
a hat. Thankful for the heat now because it's so short lived around
here (NH, USA)

Same thing I always do, wear it down.
If you are getting tangling problems with sweat on the back of your neck try using a laminate (I am using Gloss Drops by Paul Mitchell) before you go out and this will help keep your hair a little "looser" (helps with wind tangles too).

It's not long enough right now to tie it back, so I'm slicking it back with lots of mousse to keep it out of my eyes and tucking as much of the sides behind my ears. That way I can keep as much surface area on my face cool and dry.

as usual to me, i just try to get it out of my face. (it's just the right length to stick right in my eyes. all the time)
easiest i've found, and better looking, from what my girlfriend says, is wrapping a piece of cloth (mine is in rayon, really thin) in a long rectangle and wrap it around to my fronthead. kinda like a headband, now that i think of it.
oh well, good luck!
(at least, after i get through the hot summer, it's gonna be a year, so that's an interesting mark to keep me, hmm, focused ;)
