I guess it's layered, but I've never seen it longer or shorter...it may have just grown that way.

Calm down! ;) That was during the 80's and the man did have awesome hair. However, when I saw him during an interview on MTV not too long ago it looked a lot shorter.

The 80's were a GREAT period for rock guitar! Some of the most exciting guitar music was put on tape during the 80's and that's a friggin' FACT!!! Yes, I'm being passionate about it and you can laugh about it all you want. And yes, some of the hair was pretty damn freaky.
