Yeah i have a question um i used blonde maximum for men hair color and i think it wuz a bleech cuz at the time i wuz going to try to dye my hair blonde on top but it didnt do to good so it left it kind of a brownish redish color. So a couple weeks lata i decided that im going to let my hair grow long cuz now i want long hair. So i went to by to get black for men maximum hair color and it dyed my hair black but then a couple weeks lata it turned bak to that brownish redish color im a natural black head and i dont know why i did it. So then i got Just for men black and it worked but now its starting to turn bak to that brownish redish color see i dont want to get a trim to get rid of that color cuz im trying to grow my hair out. My mom said i would have to get it cut to get that color out and i dont want to cuz then it will slow the process of growing my hair out so i wuz wandering If that color will go away as my hair gets longer would anyone know? Cuz i heard that bleech is in ya hair util you cut it off. So i dont know.

That's really hard to read with all the spelling/grammatical/slang errors. I'm not trying to be a prick, but it is hard to read.

I have to agree...I just stopped reading it. The message doesn't make sense to me. I would like to provide you with some help or an answer if I can, but don't know what you're saying.

Erm, let me try:
As far as I know, there are two types of hair color. One type just sits on top of the hair and washes out gradually. These are your semi-permanents or demi-permanents. Then there's the stuff that actually alters the hair shaft, like permanents and bleaches. If your hair is naturally black, there is no way you could get it blond without a bleach, because a hair color that just sits on top wouldn't show up very well. So my guess is that the color was a bleach, but it didn't work all the way, which explains the color you have now (it got lighter instead of blond, and that color is the natural undertone of your hair). If I were you, I wouldn't keep dyeing your hair because it will be fried to a crisp. Get to a salon and explain to them what happened, and bring the boxes of the hair color you used so they know how the dyes work. There is no way to reverse a bleaching, so they will have to color over it. Probably the reason it keeps washing out is because, depending on how long your hair is, you will need more than one box to cover the hair properly. For example, my hair is a little longer than the middle of my back and my colorist (and soon to be stepmom!) has to use at least four bottles of color on me.
Well, that was long winded, wasn't it? For future reference, DON'T dye at home, ever. I'm sure you've learned that by now ^_^ Hope this all doesn't result in a cut, but be prepared for that consequence, as all that dyeing probably wreaked major havoc on your hair. Remember, hair grows, so don't worry about it. Check the rest of this board for tips on how to care for your hair, as there are some really good ones. Good luck, and hope I answered your question.
Anyone else have anything to add?
