For Those Who Color...

I know coloring is a big no-no, but I hate my mousy brown hair. Does anyone know of any good shampoos, conditioners, etc. that are good for colored hair? I currently use Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Joico Color Endurance Conditioner. I also use Redken Extreme Anti-Snap leave in treatment, which I like. Thanks!

"Hate" is such a negative word, my child. You should learn to love instead. Be one with mother nature, etc. Look in the mirror and say: "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and, doggone it, I like myself!"

Look at it this way: Once it gets long enough, it'll be too good-looking for you to want to color it! I dyed my hair raven black about a year and a half ago, and now that it's grown a lot, and my dark brown roots are showing, I knew I should have let it grow naturally instead. I mean, it's your decision, but I think that your hair would have better long-term health if you didn't dye it. My hair never frizzed until I got this stuff put in it...

I use a shampoo and conditioner called "Vivid Color" which should be available at your local salon. It's a color locking shampoo and conditioner. I've had no problems with it, other than it's a little pricey, but I like it better than Aussie products. The conditioner is REALLY good!!!

What brand is it? And don't worry, my stepmom is a hairdresser, you know what that means ^_^

Thanks Michael and Devon, but I've already tried that "hair acceptance" thing, and it didn't work. Maybe someday ^_^ I don't overdo it, so that's not a problem.

Best I've found is Ion Color Defense Protective Shampoo. I've available only at beauty supply places and the like.
