Pirates of the Caribbean

I thought the movie Pirates of The Caribbean was an excellent fun movie. Plenty of long hair in evidence (yes I know it was mostly wigs). At one point Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) had a "imperfect tail" (some of the bangs/fringe/frontal hairs were loose). That inspired me to try mine that way. We shall see if I go out with it. Meanwhile Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) sported... well, long hair, with some dreads, some loose hairs, some beaded hairs, and some braided hairs, all topped off with a red headscarf and sometimes a leather three-corner hat. Quite the pirate look! What did you think of the movie? What did you think of the hair? Do you think someone could actually wear pirate hair like Jack Sparrow's and not be mistaken for a homeless person?

Johnny Depp was really excellent...
and his hair had a bit of almosth everything going on!
A great film...loved the underwater 'travelings' and then going
up the ship ropes!

I thought the movie was pretty good. It was a bit too complicated for a family movie, and the character with the eye got old fast, but overall it was very funny and visually appealing.
Now about the hair......
Orlando Bloom's look was good. He looks much better with dark hair then he does with the blond wig in LOTR. However, are you sure it wasn't a wig? He sure grew that hair fast.
Johnny Depp has a great head of hair reguardless of how he wears it. Even though it contanted extensions in this movie, I thought it looked incredable (as did the gotee thing). This hair obviously is not clean and would bring chills to many on this board if they woke up with hair like that. I think it could be pulled off, though. He looked the best on the deserted island with the girl with mostly white on. I could definately see it pulled off by a rock artist.

Orlando Bloom was the only major actor who didn't wear a wig. He did, however, have hair extensions which took around 5 hours to put in. I can't remember where I read this but I know it was a reliable source. I'm pretty sure it was the official movie website.
