considering damaging my hair again.

I'm not coloring it anymore, but I really am not enjoying the frizziness of my hair. I've been considering having it straightened.
Of course, I'm going to give this the 2 week wait. lol
Don't think I'm going to change my mind. My hair just looks messy lately.

I could be wrong, but from what I've heard, getting hair straightened thats already been bleached or colored is a really bad idea.

Good luck! But don't do it too often...my stepmom told me a story about a woman who damaged her hair so much from straightening it that the hair on the back of her head past the nape of her neck just broke right off. Geez, what I wouldn't give for stick-straight hair every day...

That sounds strange, I know a number of people who straightens their hair every day (using straightening iron), or every other day without it really doing any noticeable damage to their hair, and they don't have that thick hair either.
Perhaps the women had her hair straight-permed quite a lot of times, back when perms did more damage to the hair, then they do today?
I discussed straightening irons with my stylist a couple of days ago, since straightening seems to be the only last solution of getting my hair to look good. And she had apparently been straightening her hair every other day too, when she had longer hair, as well as coloring and had it permed as the same time, without it damaging her hair. Of course I assume she used heat protection gel.
I am pending between buying a straightener and not, since I really do not want to damage it. But then again, every person I've spoken to that's been using a straightener, or is using one regurarly, says it's nothing to worry about, and they haven't noticed their har getting damaged from it, and it just doesn't seem to be any other way for me to get my hair the way I want it.
So I don't really know what to do...
Wow, that was a lot of text, and all I wanted was to ask how she straightened it and when, lol ohh well...

Actually, I don't recall if the woman colored or permed or not, but she used an iron...a REAL iron, as well as a straightening iron. I don't think Sherri or anyone else on this board would do that, but I figured I'd post a warning anyway. Personally I don't even go near people who are blow drying their own hair, but I'm neurotic ^_^
Thinking about it now, I don't think permanent straightening would be so bad because you only need to do it once, then again on the roots when they grow in. But I would avoid all hair-damaging tools/products like the plague. And don't worry Patrik, I tend to be somewhat long-winded myself!

From the pix on your site, your hair looks great to me, why not try plenty of really good conditioner, and see how it looks then.
It would be a great pity to end up making things worse.
At the end of the day, it's your choice, but then you wouldn't have posted the message if you didn't have a few doubts.
