I was wondering if anyone works for GEICO INSURANCE. I am considering getting a job in the insurance field and would like to know if anyone has any information regarding their dress code/hair length policies. Can anyone give me some information. PS I found their website and they did have an email address. i didnt email them about this particular question, it was a different question and i just got an automated response with some basic company information. Anyone who works for Geico or another insurance company, please post your thoughts. thankx

It could very well depend on the job function you will be performing. How visible you will be with clients and, or, upper management. Just show up with a neat appearance, hair tied back if long enough and see what happens. Your communication skills and confidence can sometimes put your hair length in the background and be unnoticeable. This is the attitude you want when you show up for that interview. Remember, you are there to sell your skills/experience and personality to the hiring interviewer. If this goes well, your hair should not even be an issue because it will not stand out. Good luck to you!

Thanks Coldflu. Actually, the job entails answering phone calls and handling people's claims when they get into an auto accident. There would be NO customer contact (although hair should not even be a factor in that regard either) Also, the Geico website says "casual business dress" I am not sure what that means. Anyone who has more information for me, I would really like to hear from you.

Chris,
Casual business dress usually means cacki or dress pants (No jeans), shoes (No sneakers), and a nice shirt or sweater (No T-Shirts). Golfers on TV (without the shorts of course) normally are dressed Casual business. Some companies require a button-up shirt. If you have a suit, wear it on the interview. You should always wear a suit to an interview, as first impression is the upmost of importance.
Hope this helps.

"cacki" certainly sounds more casual than "khaki"
