School/Hair

I moved into college/university this past Sunday. I'm going to a liberal arts school and thus am surrounded by a lot of hair. I've already bonded with a fellow longhair (although the poor guy only has a terminal length to his shoulders) two dorm rooms down the hall. My three floor residence hall has five heads of longer hair. I've seen ponytails-a-plenty around campus as many upperclassmen have spent their college years growing.
I'm also growing fonder and fonder each day of female long hair. I went up to a girl the first day and gave her a hair compliment. However, she barely acknowledged my presence.
The only downsides of life here is that I am outside in humidity all the time and the water in the showers is horrible. These factors have led to very dry, tangled hair for me. I've also noticed that the campus security guards watch me rather closely when I am out at night as apparently many people associate long hair with illegal substances.
I must finally mention that I lost the link to Sherri's picture page in the move. Would anybody be able to link it?

Nice story there Redleader! Don't let stupid humidity get you down. I too, have been dealing with it here in the Indiana mornings. Probably the first time I'm actually wanting it to get cold, heh.

Interesting comment. It's almost like symathetic appreciation, isn't it? I know that women with great hair are so much more of a turn on for me now than ever before. I've noticed the same thing with working out. I have so much more appreciateion for what it takes to get defined abs I fell like a woman who has obviously taken the time and effort to sculpt her body _deserves_ to be complimented. Between the two (hair & fitness), I have to say that my confidence level has skyrocketed, and not to sound egotistical or concieted, but there aren't really a lot of women I'm afraid to approach anymore. Scary, huh?

Hey LucksKind. I've actually been pretty busy with work among other things. Yes, my hair is still long. I've been doing a lot of posting on the computer help message boards (TechTV). Also, I've been playing a lot of computer games lately.
I'll probably pop in from time to time and do a little posting. Take care.

What kind of games do you play? I go through phases where I play a lot of games and some, like this summer, where I didn't play at all. Last week I got "Enter the Matrix" (for PC) as a gift from my mother for my (41st) birthday. I didn't have the heart to tell her that it had gotten poor-to-mediocre reviews. Anyway, I installed it, installed the patch, and have been having a blast! Fun game. Maybe the patch helped things or maybe game reviewers have certain biases. I've decided I *like* martial-arts fighting games. One of the bad guys has shoulder-length unnaturally straight hair. I also think he has an undercut but I was too busy kicking his ass with my *girl* player (Niobe) to ask. ETM also features "the twins" with their dreads. Haven't seem them yet to see if their hair is realistic.

I mostly like action/adventure games. I also like racing games and some RPG's. I'm currently playing Clive Barker's Undying - which is excellent! I'm also playing Midnight Club 2. It's a great racing game, though very difficult. Need For Speed -- Hot Pursuit 2, is quite good also. Star Trek Voyager -- Elite Force is also great (hell, the first level is on the Borg cube!). That game is underrated in my opinion!
If you like action/adventure games, I highly recommend American McGee's Alice. It's a great game (I've beat it twice). The graphics are awesome and the levels are amazingly twisted.
I've started many games and never finished them (though I still keep the 'saved' games) -- Half-Life is one of them. Half-Life has some strange bugs in the code, though.
Play on!
