Thought I'd give it a go....

Today I was sitting in the middle of a boring, three hour lecture and I began to think about hair. I remebered reading recent hype on this board about L'Oreal VIVE Smooth-Intense Shampoo and Conditioner. I thought What the heck? Why not give it a try this afternoon? After class, I drove to the local grocery store and picked up the set.
There are two things to take into account before I get into talking about the product.
-My school uses hard water
-That hard water comes out of the spicket at a very low velocity, thus the water dosen't help detangling and such.
Both of these things contribute to lousy hair care conditions and lead to dry, fizzy, tangled hair. Any shampoo is going to work better for me at home. I had been experimenting with Aussie Moist and Volume lines in the past few weeks. I don't like Moist as it leaves my hair very dry and tangled (which, ironically, is what it advertises against doing). The volumizing line makes my waves/curls form very nicely and feels good, but it too leads to some frizz.
So I stepped into the shower.... Upon lathering up the shampoo, I felt nothing unusual. I shampooed and conditioned and it felt basically the same as Aussie did. (I guess my hair differs from others here)I did loose quite a few strands in the shower. Nothing to be alarmed about, and most likely a coincidence and the result of much weather trouble in the past 24 hours.
I let my hair air dry (which took nearly two hours, albeit it's under a foot). It actually looked rather limp and small while drying. To this point, I wasn't too happy with the product. However, there are some good aspects of it. It has a great smell to it. I really like it; much more than Aussie's smell. My hair became softer than usual once it was completely dry. There is still frizz and loose strands, but it is a lot drier overall. This is the best part of these products. They do make one's hair quite soft. I also noticed that it made my hair even curlier. This dosen't look bad, but in the eyes of one growing one's hair long, curlier than normal hair looks like a haircut!
I plan to use these products for a week or so and see how things are. I will definately give them a try when I do return home. I like this set more than Aussie Moist. I need more time to make a comparason with Real Volume.
Overall rating 7 out of 10
One last thing. I'd just like to say that I am actually suprised how cheap shampoo is. It's a product that allows testing new brands on a frequent basis without burning too big of a hole in one's wallet.

Glad you took the time to experiment and report back to US!
As I mentioned in my original post, the Vive System will not produce
the same results for everone...
Hair comes in so MANY shapes, textures, lengths colors, etc...
that getting ONE product to work for ALL is probably just an impossibility!
Thanx for your report...and...
Good Luck!
An important question about Velocity

I find this comment interesting, because although I'm comfortable with the shower I use at home, sometimes I go to a gym, and the spickets they have there shoot water at such a high velocity that I actually find it painful to stand under one for more than 30 seconds. I'm not exaggerating. I usually seek whicher spicket's malfunctioning and does not have water shooting from all of its openings to reduce volume of impact I experience.
I wonder, on account of what you've said, whether or not such high velocity showerheads are bennificial to one's hair. I mean, if you took a gardenhose and sprayed it at yourself at point-blank range for more than minute (Using full power), I'm pretty sure you'd end up with a bruse from the water pressure. How good could such an effect be for one's hair?
