Interesting Pon

I was pondering today during class......
Most guys here favor long hair on women. I know that I do.
My taste for women with long hair has accentuated as my own hair growth process has progressed....
However, I've made a realization today. The type of hair that I am attracted to most (on women) is long, thick, wavy, dark brown hair.
This is very much what my own hair may look like in a few years if all goes as planned....
But could my attraction not really be towards the woman and her hair, but towards the end result of my own hair?....
So I open this discussion to any other guys out there growing (with heterosexual preferences). Do you feel attracted to women with the same type of hair as yourself? Does seeing the future of your own hair on a woman automatically make you feel more attracted?

I find long hair on women attractive in two completely separate ways:
- firstly it is beautiful in itself for its own sake, and I like all types of long hair of every colour, although I prefer dark straight hair (a contrast with mine, which is blond and curly).
- secondly, I find long hair on an attractive woman very sexy, as part of her whole appearance. A women who is not attractive to me except for her hair won't arouse the same feelings in me - I will probably only like her hair in the way I have described in my first category above.

That is an interesting thought, and one I think is somewhat true. I think that if our hair is not turning out how we really do want it to, we see it on a girl and are attracted because that is also something we want. Just like, why are we attracted to boobs? Because we don't have 'em! Hehehe. It's not always the truth but often is.
I have to disagree with Big L. Most of the couples I can think of have different hair types from eachother. Maybe that's something attractive? I'm not sure. Although in all honesty if you love someone for real you will love them regardless of their hair type.

Possibly yes but could be even more than just hair. It's quite a common phenomenon i.e. people being attracted to a female or male version of themselves. If you look at the wedding photos in your local paper it's amazing how often you see people marrying the mirror images of themselves (both have the same eyes/jawline/nose whatever). Best known example of this was Mick and Bianca Jagger.

Yes. I think it's sort of like empathy. I LOOOVE a woman with long, really-well defined open spiral curls. I think it's partially because I know how much patience and work it takes to make that type of hair work. Definitely not something I noticed before growing.

Subconsciuously, I think I do. I like straight brown hair that's neat and well-kempt. I have wavey dark brown that's in pretty good shape. The thing is, I generally am not attracted to blondes or redheads, so I think there might be something here.

I think 'attraction' is a bit too strong a word to use...
How about 'appreciation' instead?
If you like long, thick, wavy, dark brown hair on a women, that's
your personal preference.
You intend to have the same kind of hair...so basically, I would say
that you appreciate that kind of hair...and the relationship with a
women who owns that kind of hair...is a bonus!
Good Luck!
definetely

Funny thing is that when I met my wife she had a shoulder-length blonde flip while my brown hair was midback! She's cut hers to a neck-length pageboy while I've grown mine all the way past my backside. ..and we're MORE attracted to each other than ever before!
