healthiest cut??

i heard from a fairly reliable source that a blunt cut head of hair is more healthy than a layered style, does anybody know if there is any truth behind that?

What is this source and what does "fairly reliable" mean?
We hear lots of strange stuff here but never seem to know where it comes from.

my bad, what i meant to say was "seemingly reliable" as in i had not taken tips from the person before but they seemed to know what they were talking about.
