I live in the UK and I have seen a lot of mention of L'Oreal MELTing gel here on the site, infact I was recommended it when I asked for advice a few weeks ago!
However I have been to the Shops and I cant find it anywhere over here and i went on the L'oreal uk website and there is something called L'Oreal Studio Line FX Invisi Gel.... is this the same as the American MELTing gel??? Am very interested in trying the product so any info would be great!
Many thanks!

I have no idea if it is the same as the Invisible Gel...
Maybe someone else knows? Or we could compare the ingredients?

Hey,
I live in Cyprus but study in the US... NO the european loreal stuff are not like the american one's... InvisiGEL has alcohol in it... it's pretty much the same thing (ie the equivalent) but the alcohol makes your hair dry and rock hard... melting gel is not like that... I don't know why the difference... but I have not found any similar gels in Europe as melting gel by loreal or any others...
Take care

I live in London, UK. You apparently can't get melting gel in the UK. It's not the same as invisigel, which contains alcohol.
I bought some invisigel and didn't like it. Then I went to the USA and bought some melting gel and didn't like that either. My hair was too frizzy with both types.
So now I have two tubes gathering dust. If anyone can collect from WC1 or SE5 they are welcome to them!

My problem is not so much the need for "hold" as a need to reduce frizz and "big hair". I find that towelling dry and then applying a combination of hair serum (usually Frizz-Ease or Charles Worthington or Clinique) plus Frizz-Ease "wind-down relaxing creme" does the trick. I apply the serum mainly to the ends, or else my hair becomes too greasy, and then the relaxing creme all over, and then let it dry tied back (which you're not supposed to do but it works for me).
Sometimes I use Body Shop Amlika leave-in conditioner instead of the relaxing creme.
I'm a big fan of Frizz-Ease products. For emergency use on dry hair on bad hair days, I sometimes use Frizz-Ease "secret agent flawless finishing creme" but it's not as good as the stuff for damp hair.
