Naturally flattening hair!

G'day mates!
Sorry, it's been a while since I dropped by!
I need some help, my fellow long hairs...
I'm trying to get by the akward stage right now.
What advice can be given to me to help me get my thick hair to be naturally flattened out?
In other words, how can I get my hair to lay down against my head, but not by using gels or serums or sprays! What can I do mates?
Cheers!

well, i have been using a flat iron for about two years now and love it. i've got naturally curly hair that gets quite unruly in any amount of humidity. so with the use of a flatiron, this is no longer an issue.
you MUST be careful with them because they can damage your hair, but if you know how to use it properly, you'll have no problems. I flat iron mine twice a week, when i wash it, and that's it!
should you get one, get one with a high wattage in it....this makes the irons hotter, and your hair straighter/flatter.
good luck!

you can get one for about $30.00
as far as time goes...i flatten mine once i have dried it with a blowdryer (gives it a lot of body that way) and it takes about 5-10 minutes to do so. and voila! you have straight, manageable, hair tha tyou can run your hands through.
