hair colour dilema

Hi
I have light ash blond hair. As it is autumn my hair was looking a bit dull so i decided to buy some permanent hair colour. It said it was extra light blond. When I finished the treatment my hair was a bright yellowish colour and kind of orange at the scalp. I really dont like it. Do you think using a semi-permanent champagne or light ash blond colour will help tone it down.

Can't really offer much advice, only to say speak to a professional. There are stylists and technicians out there who specialise in correcting colour mishaps.
Though I heard an interesting theory on hair colour last week. "Aparently" your hair colour is genetically programmed to match your complexion. This implies that your best hair colour is always your natural colour.
Support for this theory is given by the way that most people who dramatically change the colour of their hair, always look better when a few milimeters of the roots start to show the natural tinge, as that helps soften the look and compliment your complexion again.
Dunno if there's anything in it. But if you wait a few weeks you might be able to test the theory.
