Loreal springing curls mouse

Hey fellas...
question for curly hairs: has anyone tried loreal sprining curls mouse. It's part of the studio line series... white color...
it seems to work but doesn't hold too long... i can only find it in "medium hold"... what I like about it is it's not sticky... it reduces frizziness and it doesn't look like you have anything in ur hair...
let me know what you think...
Also... does anyone know is gel or mouse are better... ? does anyone have benefits over the other? better, worse for hair?

I think ALMOST all mouse contains alcohol, which, as you know, dries out hair. Some don't though, and it usually says "alcohol free" right on the label. But i have looked and alcohol free mouse is tough to find....at least in my area. Gel, on the other hand, often contains no alcohol (easier to find alcohol-free gels, then alcohol free mouse for some reason) and gels' plastic bottles won't mess up the environment, like the empty cans of mouse tend to do. Though I must say, I LOVED using mouse! I, personally, can't handle the ramifications of all the cans i go through just to look awesome! ;-)Poor Earth. So i just go for gels, and my brain doesn't make me feel guilty about it. Damn conscience! If there was only some way of having an "earth friendly mouse", then i would be a mouse convert! :)

There's nothing worse then a mouse full of alcohol. Keeps me
awake at night listening to them rodents partying. :-)

I have very curly/wavy hair and have never found a good gel. The best product I use is American Crew's Texture Cream. Kind of expensive, though (~ $15/bottle) If anyone know of a good gel or other brand of cream, I'm open to suggestions, too! Tim
i meant MOUSSE damnit :-) (n/t)

My daughter uses L'Oreal Springing Curls Mousse and gets great results with it; her hair is loosely curly and fine, and in great condition. The L'Oreal mousse leaves it very shiny. Her hair was almost bra-strap long in back, but she cut it to shoulder length last month, not because of damage, just because she wanted a change.
Personally, I do not care for mousse. My hair is more voluminous than my daughter's - mousse is usually volumizing, and I have more than enough volume, thank you, in fact I have to weigh my hair down to limit the poof factor, so I use gel. Biolage Gelee, a salon product, is my favorite. It has a somewhat runny, slippery consistency, and does not contain silicone, which dries my hair out. IT also rinses out very cleanly and does not build up readily on my hair. It is available in salons, or Trade Secret, which is a salon-product store in some U.S. malls. Pricier than drugstore brands, but a little goes a long way, it lasts me forever, and I think my hair is worth it!
Also, all mousse, whether it contains alcohol or not, has a propellant ingredient, and I have concerns about subjecting my hair to that ingredient.

Now that's a hair measurement that guys can't use. :-)
