Solano hair straightener...thoughts?
Posted by Max on November 03, 2003 at 18:32:08: Previous Next
I've been thinking about getting one for a while now, I'm just wondering if anybody here has had any experience with this product. If I do decide to buy one, should I opt for the temperature control? Or should I be okay without it?
Thanks.

If you go here:
http://www.epinions.com/beat-Hair_Care-Tools-All-Solano_Brand-7453662-Straighteners
And read the reviews for each, they are all good.
I would be put off by the constant reminders to not touch your hair for 10 seconds after applying the iron because it will burn your hand. That's a lot of heat!
But, one person said she's been using it for a year and hasn't seen any damage from it.
Either way, I would definitely go for the one that you can adjust the heat. I'd feel safer with it.
If it wasn't for the heat issue, I'd probably buy one myself! So, you buy one and let me know if it damages your hair after 6 months use. hehehe

Thanks for pointing me to that, Sherri. Wow, that straightener produces a lot of heat (if it can burn your hand after you use it)! I'll make sure to post if I decide to get one.

CHI Turbo Flat Iron 1"
its AWESOME
trust me ive got thick curly frizzy hair and this makes it SO straight, you would NEVER know I had curly hair to begin with
the price is kinda steep(got mine NEW for $100 on ebay), but its totally worth it
and it definetly does NOT damage my hair, in face it makes it feel healthier then before
theres so many reviews on this and NO one slams this product, i definetly suggest it
