looking for advice

Hey. I started growing long hair the first time when i was 15 and cant remember my ackward stage..But it got exactly where i wanted it for the years i was 18-20. I had it down to about mid-back length of course it was not the most healthy hair due to my complete ignorance of haircair and curly hair type..still im trying to get back to where i was. It declined in length as i was turning 21 and all during that year it got worse till my bangs were short enugh to give me a near mullet look. So after waiting for a year and being disturbed every time i looked in the mirror i went to the point of shaving it all off and starting again. Not because id changed or given up - i just didnt want to be half the hair i used to be anymore. I knew it was one way to trigger a re-growth process and stop the shortening
So im looking for tips on growing it back as fast as possible. I have a thin moderate curl type hair the kind you can really go wrong with in the end as i found out.

As fast as possible will probably be as fast as it was the first time,
3-ish years. It's a little late now, but if your hair was cut rather
than shaved, the process would have been shortened by months.
Try concentrating on better hair care and overall body health this
time around, I've heard it said that your hair's health generally
reflects your body's health. So eat well, exercise, vitamins, etc.

Lots of good tips are available on this board - just realize that
some advice may work really well for you, and some may not.
