Blow Drying

i've been blowdrying my hair for the past week or two and i was just wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of blowdrying. My hair looks and feel better after blowdrying.

I've heard it can do damage if done for to long and at a high setting. I use a soft towel with gentle downward strokes.

As long as you're using a cool setting, or alternate between a warm/cool setting your hair should be ok.
Keep in mind: heat damages hair. You may not see it right away, but it will show up.
Hair is dead, and once the damage is done, it cannot be fixed.

Blow drying is fine as long as the heat is at a low enough setting as not to cause damage to your hair. A good way to guage this is if you can apply the heat from your blow dryer to bare unprotected skin such as the middle of your forearm from 4 inches away without discomfort it is probably OK. Absalom
