OMG I had no idea braiding your own hair could be so much fun. And it can look so cool! Why didn't I ever try this before? I was just sitting around with nothing to do and thought 'what the hell, let's give this a shot'. To my surprise I didn't have to tie them off with anything and they just stayed there while I slept and through the whole next day. From this point forward I will always have something to do when I'm bored.

I wear my hair in a braided ponytail usually several times per week. Its a great style and does a great job of preventing knots.

I've also found that it helps keep my hair from getting frizzy, too.

Isn't having Long Hair a blast? There are so many exciting things to do with it. Glad you like the braids. ENJOY! :-)

I've braided my hair before. How did you get them to stay?
I've tried braids before but never could figure out how to get them
to stay. Hair ties from my pony tail never seemed to do it.
But I agree braids are great.

Hair Hoisery by Schunchi works real well for tying off the ends of braids. Just wrap them lots to times to make them really tight. Also, if you are doing microbraids, you can use small black rubber bands to tie off the ends. (They sell them in hair supply shops just for this purpose) Just make sure that when you remove the rubber bands, you carefully cut them with the point of a scissor. Pulling the rubber bands off can damage your hair.
