One style I'm wearing a bit is a half-tail. I don't know if it is going to catch on but since Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings) fashion is in vogue these days I feel comfortable with it. I also have a couple of different ponytail styles. High and tight with a slicked back look on top. Low and loose and parted in the middle. I've experimented with pigtails at home but it didn't fly. I also convinced someone to braid my hair but it is still too short. Ditto on a bun. The fact is I'm mostly wearing my hair loose these days. I'm outside a lot and the extreme cold weather requires so much gear going over and on my head that any style, even combing my hair in the morning is a complete waste of time.

I wear lots of different styles. Sometimes a low pony, sometimes mid height, sometimes high on the crown. Often I will wear a braid and sometimes a bun. But I must say that my favorite style is the half ponytail with or without a microbraid coming from behind one ear. And sometimes I'll braid the ponytail part of the half ponytail as well. But as my hair is getting really long now, it is sometimes difficult to do. But anyway, I'm always experimenting. Variety is the spice of life!

I wonder how to tie the end of a microbraid to keep it from coming undone. I tried using a small rubber band but it falls out, or if I loop it too many times it may damage the ends of the hairs.
