"wet look"?

hey ive been growing since 1/6/2003 and my hair is maybe 5 inches long, during this stage i can finally put my hair back when its wet and it kindof stays, it looks really nice when i part it in the middle andput it back and to the side when its wet. (i also put some gel in to hold it down) but after my hair dries and all the water evaporates, it just wants to go forward again and puffs up. Is there any product I can use to keep it "wet" longer? And is it possible to train your hair to go back by wearing a hat really often or anything?

I use rose perfumed coconut oil. It helps to give the wet look.
I also use Garnier Fructis, wet look hair gel. In fact, I got lots of free samples.

Use a stronger gel or a wet look one?

You could try the hair straightening products they make for curly haired people. I found that they decrease the "puffing up".
