Depends on the person. Some people's hair lines reside a bit, then stop. Some people's go completely, so you're left with the side hair, some people's hair completely goes.

I used Propecia for three, yes THREE years, and it was totally ineffective in hair growth, but highly effective in reducing my checking account. It is only marginally effective with balding in the back of the head, rarely if ever effective with receding hairlines....saves your money, dude!

Maybe it's not my fingers after all. If the link doesn't show up this time, I give up.

Hi Mark
To the best of my knowledge, what is going on with you sounds genetic to me, (but I am NO Doctor) and if so, I doubt anything can really be done. How far it will go? (Perhaps look at ancestors from both sides of your family for clues as to how far theirs went?) I can well imagine the feeling of depression for one wanting Long Hair and having to deal with this. There are "implants" of course, but I know not just how successful these are and imagine the expense to be sky-high! Of course we don't know age, and that often plays a role. Still, it doesn't matter............you are worried and depressed. Perhaps a good idea would be to make plans to work with what you do have. "Invent" a style. You would be amazed at how many things can be arrived at and you would be the ONLY one with such a style. Meanwhile, the hair in back may very well reach waist length!
Guess I would "check it out" with a doctor..........research family trends and THEN decide what you need to do that will make you happiest of all with what you have to work with. Funny..........I think we ALL always want something we can't have. Such is life and seems to be rather normal for the majority of people.
You know, it almost seems uncanny that removal of hair can be done in the year 2004, but restoration seems to elude medical science to such a degree.
My best to you and sorry for your woes. Well founded at that!
Justin~
