I don;t recommend combs, expecially for curly.wavy hair, I think they can do a lot of damage. Try using a brush which is just strong enough to make your hair tidy instead, but not so strong that it tears your hair.

hmmm...that depends. If you hair's really thick and/or wavy, try using an afro pick. That's what I use, ironically to PREVENT an afro - any fine toothed combs or brushes on my hair and good night!
An afro pick will also tear your hair less. One to really stay away from though is the fine toothed metal comb - might as well stick your hair in a shredder!
Hope this helps.

Get a good pick or a wide tooth comb. This is the best thing to use :)

The safest comb for your hair is your fingers. Granted, its not the quickest.

For curly hair, you should use a paddle type brush with widely spaced teeth. Also, only brush your hair when it is wet. Once it has dried, leave it alone. Brushing curly hair when it's dry only damages it and makes it frizzy.
