Why is it that people are so crazy about hair?
Hair is not special, and you see it everywhere.
But still it holds itself in our hearts with all of its glory,
Enchanting our souls, you know the story.
To me, hair is something wonderful to behold.
I enjoy it on everyone, young or old.
I’m a long hair who used to frequent this board. I wanted to visit to see how things are going. I am glad to see all is up and running. I believe there is some type of power in having long hair and that we should all let our hair grow otherwise our hair would not get long. Having long hair is the natural thing to do. The last time I cut my hair was in 1995, when I got a gift certificate to a hair salon. Sometimes it can be a pain in the ass to keep hair like mine. See, my hair tangles very easily and if wind gets to it. I have thick curly hair. Mostly my hair is healthy, except for the ends, which need to be cut off. When I started to grow my hair out, it grew out fast.
I know that it is important to soak my hair with water every day. I lost my ends due to not getting them wet daily. Moisture is important!
IF YOU WANT LONG HAIR READ ON.
To some of you this strange idea might not be O.K. but I know it demonstrates the power when you prey. . . . .
I visualized growth on the top of my head. I felt the energy flow and from atop it fled. I pushed my hair out mentally. Yes, that is what I said! It is something to do while lying in bed. Sometimes I pushed so hard, my face got red. I kept on doing it till my desire was fed.
I know this may sound silly and a little untrue. I don't suggest you push so hard; your face turns blue. Take the time to think of all the things we do. If you put your mind to it, you would be amazed when through.
Sooooo All of you who want to let it grow. . . . . PUSH ON BABY ! ! ! ! !
Any Replys?

You're obviously a very creative person. In your hair styles and your prose. Both of which are awesome by the way.
You asked the question "Why is it that people are so crazy about hair?"
It's really quite simple. Long hair on humans evolved as a sexual lure. This is true for both men and women. We are hall born with the instinct to like and want long hair. And to want to see long hair on potential mates. It is only our modern day culture of control that drives this impulse into the subconcious for many. What child doesn't cry during their first couple of haircuts?
For many thousands and perhaps even millions of years. Long hair was used by humans to show that they were healthy and strong. And thus suitable as mates for rearing young. Of course, this is not concious, conciously we just know that we like to look at, and are attracted to people with long hair. We want long hair because we have a need to be attractive to others, especially to potential mates. And we want and like long hair because our ancestors were attracted to people with long hair, and they passed that desire on to us.
This impulse is stronger for men though than it is for women.
While men are primarily attracted to women who look healthy and who show the outward signs of fertility ( among other things, long hair). Women are more attracted to healthy and successfull males. Males who have accumulated wealth and or power in society. The ape with the most bananas, if you will. A woman may like long hair on men, but she is more concerned with a potential mate's potential to provide for her young. In our modern society, most men need to have short hair to become wealthy or powerful. And this is why most women will say that they prefer men with short hair. Without even realizing why. Isn't it funny how they make exceptions for wealthy, powerful rock stars and other famous people? When society encouraged wealty, powerful men to have long hair, there was no conflict for women.
So today we have that inner voice (instinct) telling us men to have long hair, and at the same time the controlling voice of "civilized" society telling us that to be successful and thus attractive to mates, we must have short hair. Some follow their instincts, others the directives of society.
