Hey all, this is my first post here, but I was curious as to how often you can get away with oil treatments--or if they have any detrimental effect if used too much.
I've been growing my hair out for year+ at this point, but I color treat my hair (have a strong dislike of my natural color when long--dont ask =P , and blowdry every few days after i wash in order to keep my hair straight as it can be a bit wavy, and my hair could certainly be the better for this.

Hello Ashen,
I have never heard of too many oil treatment being a problem. As long as you get the oil out to your satisfaction without overwashing and undoing the treatment's benefit I'd say you are fine. Do watch out for the blow dryer's heat though, if you are reaching the temperature of water boiling it can literally explode hair shafts beyond repair.
