I guess I'll begin by stating that I never realized the bravery of those who grow their hair long. Other than the obvious fact that you experience the 'awkward stage' of growing out your hair, I did not know what others experience while growing your hair out....until now. I sought out websites that could show me how to grow my hair long and healthy. I think I've found something better. (tears rolling down my face like a girl) Ha Ha.:) I've always had short hair. For many years, some of those spent in the military, I was completely without hair. I can definitely relate to those who have tried to grow their hair out and have ended up leaving the bulk of their hair on the floor of the barbershop. A shame, really. They may call me a girl or a fag, but I'd like to show them who has the biggest balls...those who grow their hair long. I'm a bit melodramatic, but I'm also honest.I was completely bald on Halloween 2003 and (other than a trim) I have not cut my hair. Today is Jan. 28, 2004. My hair is only one and a half inches long, I have a long way to go. Thanks to everyone who took the time out to post a message. It really strengthened my resolve. damian

It's all about patience. I'm currently waiting for my bangs that are directly above my eyes to grow 4 or so more inches, than I'll be able to tie back all of my hair when needed.
I find that ticking days off a calander is very therapeutic. Might want to try that.

Good for you and best of luck to you. Right now my bangs can go just to the bottom of my eye when i pull them down. Its great to see progress...i usually pull them down every week to see how far its grown in relation to my eyes. Pretty soon i'll be judging by my nose. :)
