Liberation!

Have started to wear my hair in a half-ponytail at work now, and it's so liberating. No more flicking the hair out of my face! Also no-one has commented on it yet, although I get some odd looks with my earrings (left 4 plus top, right 3 plus tragus). It's the first time that I've tied my hair up in public (even went to pub last night with it up, with no comments (although I got some good looks off girls!) and it feels great, may now start to wear it up more!

Isn't it great! I remember when my length finally reached where you are now. Congrats! Now you can REALLY start to enjoy! Have fun. :-)

The only thing to be careful with if you wear your hair up all the time is thinning...your part might start getting wider an' more of your hair might start falling out...But yeah, it is nice not havin' it in your face isn't it.

Thinning is only a problem if you tie your hair back when it's wet or if you make it extreemly tight. Also, you want to make sure to use ties that are easy on your hair. Things like hair hosiery and schunchies are good. Hair ties with metal parts and rubber bands are bad.

I know exactly what you mean! I can't stand having my hair in my face, so I started wearing it up all the time several years ago. I found that as a side benifit, I get more compliments on it from girls when it is up also. I wear lots of different styles, but it seems that the half ponytail garners the most positive attention.

Certainly does - I can vouch for that, its really practical for work, sports, even as a fashion statement, thanks largely the prominence its received recently in films and from celebs.
Rock-on!
