From what i've read here in the past, it a lot of people have had negative things to say about Pantene Pro-Vene, that it dry's out the hair. I've been meaning to ask, cause i'm not sure if it's ever been specified here if this applies to all their shampoos/conditioners, particularly Pantene moisturizing conditioner?

I love Pantene, but if you use the shampoo regularly, I'd dillute it with some water, which makes it very nice and mild

I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. Ive noticed if you lather the shampoo it does tend to dry the hair out, so just use enough to slick it through your hair rather than lathering it. I use quite a bit of the conditioner each time too but I have really thick hair.

I for one, Live , love and swear by their poducts and use them for 4 months then switch to Nexxus for four months then switch to Paul Mitchell for the last four months. I have done this for years and my stylist sayd it is good to switch and my hair seems to agree.

I read the dryness may be due to silicone in many of their products.
Actually, I have had good results using any product mentioned on
this board in which the writer says, 'it dries out my hair.'
For me, dry is good.
I believe that Pantene will be next on the list. :-)

Yes, some people's hair does not react well to silicone ingredients (my own hair is such); the silicone seems to seal the hair and lock out moisture. I avoid them, but others love silicones, as they provide shine and aid in detangling. As with everything, you'll want to decide for yourself.
