hey..um my question is about breakage...ma bangs are about 6 1/2 inches and wen i put all my hair back tightly, i see that i have alot of broken hairs in the front..which are alot shorter that the rest, and it is very obvious wen my hair is pulled back.
how can this be fixed? should i jus trim them or grow them out..?
-thanks

I'd suggest growing them out. If you try and take extra care when washing and combing your hair now, it shouldnt be much of a problem in 6 months to a year time.

That's what hairspray or gel, or whatever, is made for. Just smooth it down and let it grow. It will eventually be long enough to pull back with the rest. But, no matter what, you will always have new hairs growing that are shorter than the rest. That's what replaces any "old" hairs that have fallen out.

Make sure that you are not pulling your hair back too tightly. And never pull it back when it's wet. This can cause the hairs along the hairline (bangs) to break, resulting in exactly what you are experiencing. If it's not a lot of hairs and they are scatterd more deeply into your hair, then they are probably just replacement hairs growing in. But if ther are a lot of them and if they seem to be concentrated right at the hairline, then you're probably breaking them.
