all one length question

hey everyone..i was just wondering....my hair has been growing 10 months (5 inches everywhere)since i shaved my whole head ...i guess i'm still kinda at that "mullet" looking stage....my hair is straight and all one length...i'm curious...is it better/worse looking to have your hair all one lenght?.when my hair becomes even longer will it not look as good as it could be if it was layered or trimmed or something?...i'm curious about getting a trim maybe after a full year has passed to possibly stop the "mullet" look...or should i just keep letting it grow and not do a thing to it?...thanks a lot to anyone who replies.....just to add..it doesn't really have any style at all...it is just kind of there...i have been told i look like a sheepdog :(...kinda true i think...will trimming make it look like it has a slight style?...or once again do i just have to wait untill it is long enough to part or something?....sry for the long message:)..thanks again

At five inches your hair is going to be everything BUT what you want it to be when you are growing it long. LET IT GROW!!! The way you describe it, your hair will look very good when long. Trimming or styling it now will only make things worse, especially since you are wanting it long. At your length, there is really nothing else logical to do but let it grow long, wait it out like everyone else here and find out where your at as you go along. The dreaded Awkward Stage awaits and you will need Patience and Endurance to get through it so you need to decide just how strong your desire to have long hair really is. Good Luck and Peace!

The only way to grow your hair is to leave it alone. Yes, fair enough occasionally get the very ends trimmed if they are looking dry and split but nothing else.
Obviously if your hair grows one inch per month and you have your hair cut every other month and have two inches removed you are getting no where.
JUST LEAVE IT ALONE

That really depends on what length you want, your hair type, what style you want at the end of growth, and the shape of your face.

Just let it continue to grow despite being called a "Sheep-Dog." (You could be called worse.........."Sheep-Dogs" are smart!) This is a long project and if you REALLY wants results I wouldn't look at a pair of shears for a long long time. Good luck and pay no attention to others..........only what YOU desire for yourself. Good Luck.
