If you are truly serious about having long hair, you will need to have PATIENCE
and do a bit of relaxing about the time factors.
As you may know, hair grows at about the rate of 6 inches per year.
(3 inches in 6 months).
Take a ruler and measure the inches from length you currently have
to where you WANT it to be.
Multiply the number of inches you are looking for time 2...
and THAT will give you the approximate amount of months you will
be needing to reach your goal.
(If your hair has lots of curls or waves, it may take a bit longer).
Try not to get discourage and 'enjoy the ride.'!

Actually hair grows faster durring the summer if what I've heard is true. As far as the heat goes, get either a white or other light colored bandanna, hat, wave cap, or whatever you prefer. It helps a lot. Plus it keeps the sun from damaging your hair.

Ah...........to be 15 again. With age comes more patience......but still, we all want our hair to really "take-off!" At the average rate of 1/2" a month growth, a year from today you will have added a half a foot to what you have now. (Actually, even that when on your head is rather awesume.)
Perhaps, if possible try and forget about the "I want mine long like the photos I've seen right away." Just remember, THOSE guys acquired what they have exactly the way you will. ALL had to start in the beginning and wished the same thing..........myself included.
If possible, try and "enjoy" all the phases leading up to very long hair and make it a fun experience. Take a photo of your hair today, and then one in July. You WILL see quite a BIG difference! Looking at it every day, several times a day to see if it has grown can be very frustrating and enough to make one want to throw-in the towel.
Just let it grow. By the time you are 17 I dare say you will not regret it for a single moment.
Good luck..........and hang-in there.

if you are going to try the bandanna method, there's something you should try. Soak the bandanna in water, then put it on your head (to form it)then take the bandanna and put it in the freezer. It takes about 4 minutes for it to freeze, but, when you put it on, there will be no day hot enough that this won't cool you down. I know from personal experience. it works great and I do it everyday in the summer. try it out.
