leap day progress photo

Friends,
My first 'progress' picture to share with you, taken late today
showing my version of the 'half' ponytail - more like a 1/4
tail :-).
Some stats -
Last hair cut May 23, 2002. No trims since.
A loose hair from my brush measured a bit over 1 foot.
(yay, i can measure my hair in -feet-!)
I have very straight, brown hair that is fine to medium texture.
I have only used 4 products in my hair;
- shampoo (Aussie Mega at the moment)
- conditioner (Suave Professional Volumizing)
- ponytail band
- occasional hat
I'll be sure to post another photo next February 29th. :-)

Great photo and excellent progress. By an amazing coincidence I have been wearing a half-tail all day. I really like it. You definitely have me beat on hairlength though and the artistry of the half-tail is top-notch. Can I ask if you did that yourself or had help?

Gollan,
Hey, thanks for the very kind words!
Artistry? Yeah, I'm a hair ar-teest! That was my work, it's very
simple trick really. Just takes practice. Loads of practice in my
case - I'm all thumbs.
Also by coincidence, today marked the first time I saw another guy
wearing a half-tail. He was in the middle stage and had a
high half-tail.
I wore today as well N/T

Dude, that is one incredibly good looking head of hair. Those 4 products work perfect for you. My advice is to keep using those same 4 products, and only those 4, since your hair looks perfect. Good length for 22 months too. Absalom

Absalom,
Thank you very much for the compliment, advice, and mathematical
evaluation of my hair growth :-) It really means alot coming from
someone with over 3 feet (!) of hair. I plan on taking your advice,
it's worked well so far.
Oh yeah, I use a comb (medium toothed) and brush, so that's 6
'products' :-)

Wow I'm jealous. I wish my hair were so straight. :(
I must ask, do you ever get complimented on it by females? Do they ever want to play with it, etc.?

Hi Brian,
If I see someone I haven't seen since my hair was shorter, I get the
polite 'looks good' or something similar. Nothing unsolicited so far.
And, no - no one has offered to play with it. :-)
Your hair looks so great! nt

Not proud but very thankful, and thanks for taking the time to post
your comments! Very much appreciated!
No wonder folks post their photos. :-)

Wow! You've got some great hair! Would you be able to post a pic with it all down? How long have you been growing it?

Fitmus,
Thanks for the compliment! Last hair cut was May 2002, no trims
since.
Except for the two locks from the sides of my head held in place
with pony band, it is all down. The locks simply wrap around the
loose hair in back.
I did not post a pic with it all down because I had it all in a
pony tail most of the day, and with it all down I had the
big indentation left over from scrunching the hair. The 'half tail'
allows me to hide the 'dent' until it disappears after an hour or
so.
I may post another pic later, but I need to let my head deflate
first from all the compliments. :-)
Thanks again,
