Fix for fluffiness?

I've been growing my hair since the end of November, and it's about 3 inches now... And i noticed that when it dries after showering or anything for that matter, my hair gets really fluffy.
is there a way i could dry it or something i could do that would tame it a bit? It's not a big deal but would be nice to fix it.
Thanks :D

good question, dude. My hair is 1.8 inches right now, and i grew it on december 2003 from a shaved head. it also fluffs after i take shower and the hair dries.
anyways, what i do is: after it is dry and fluffs out, i combed it again to push the fluffing down. that seems to work for me. an extra combing after it is dry.
are there any hair products, besides gel or hairspray that can prevent the fluffs? i dont want to use gel or hairspray, they are the main reason why my hair got damaged.

If you've got wavy hair, DONT comb it, it plays hell with hair like that, I remember asking someone here about that, so I almost never comb it, I just use my fingers.

3" is so very short.............but it is so easy to see where you are coming from. Most likely "Gel" at this point will solve your problems at this stage of growth quite easily. Good Luck! :-)

I use Aussie Leave In Conditioner and only try to shampoo once a week. Works wonders on my hair (which is very prone to puffyness). BTW: My hair is @ 4 inches now.

At that short of a length hair pretty much can't help but be fluffy. The best natural way to make fluffy hair disappear is to grow it long and longer. If I understand your intentions this is what you are planning to do so you'll just need to be patient as your hair does it's stuff and inches out.
