Drying before conditioning

If all else fails - read the instructions. I read the instructions on my bottle of L'Oreal Elvive (Vive in USA?) conditioner yesterday and it says that you should towel dry your hair before conditioning. I'd never bothered to do this before and always applied it to wet hair straight after shampooing/rinsing. I'm going to give it a try and see if it makes any difference (hope it does as I have naturally very dry hair).
Does anyone here dry before conditioning ? What difference does it make ? I'd be interested to hear your comments.
Thanks,
Laurence

Since you have to rinse out the conditioner anyway, seems a little strange to towel-dry your hair first. I just squeeze out as much water as I can, from my hair, before applying conditioner and then rinse with luke-warm water. I only shampoo twice a week but use a small amount conditioner during each shower.

So let me get this straight- it says you're supposed to stop the shower, towel dry your hair, then apply the conditioner to the dry hair and then wash it all out? I've never tried it, but it sounds interesting. Be sure to post your results when you do!
