After showering and towel drying to get most the water out of your hair. Does any one slick there hair back all the way to let it dry more before parting it or doing wahtever it is you do with you hair? If so is this in any way bad for your hair?

My hair is naturally parted down the middle due to gravity - centrifugal force caused by the sun. :P

I think I started parting my hair around 6 months or so.

I just slightly "dab" with the towel so as not to remove the natural oil...........but enough so drips are not constantely running down my face. With my hands and fingers I pull the hair aside so I can see where I am going and let the air get to it. After about 1/2 hour I take a comb and comb all back and a part appears naturally. In my case the part is NOT dead-center, but slightly to the left. But this is the natural part and a snap to go with. (Hair is still quite damp at this point.) I finish the combing when the hair is "almost dry" and out the door I go!
Oh yes, current length of my hair is nearing the foot-long mark.

Ya your hair is probably around my length.
With me I towel dry for like 5 minutes then slick back. Let it dry slicked back for a while then i form the center part myself even though its pretty much already formed. Then I dry the rest of the way from there.

Personally I prefer to let it dry as is. I'll try to remove some of the water in the hair, but not using a towel or anything. I'll let it dry for 2-3 hours then brush it (its almost dry then), my hair lenght is 18½ inch (mid back) and its very thick. I don't mind the drying time but I can't do it in the morning. (I'm not a morning shower person)
